Static Stretching: Lengthening Muscle Tissue at Rest

Dynamic Stretching: Preparing the Body Through Controlled Movement

Dynamic stretching uses deliberate, controlled movements that take joints through their full range of motion repeatedly — without holding any end position. Unlike static stretching, dynamic stretching elevates heart rate, increases blood flow to working muscles, and activates the neuromuscular pathways needed for exercise.
